Hello world and welcome to my tilde page!
As you may have guessed, this website is still work under progress. In fact, I just try out various things here. My goal is to build a calm, informational and fun website to me and the interested reader, where I can express myself and explain my thoughts. Maybe I can even make new connections to people that think alike. Also, what is currently obviously the case is that I try out things here publicly, because the endevaour of creating my own presence and claiming my space in the digital networks, it sparked some interest in how the webs and their protocols work, but also in for example, how directories and files are translated into what is rendered in your browser. .which is a little unusual for me as I struggle with me self-esteem...
You alreadly learned quite a bit about me:
- I am technically interested
- seeking calmness
- believing in ownership and societal contribution
- with "ownership" I don't mean the ownsership of material posessions but responsibility
As you will read later in my blog/articles I strongly believe the internet should be a free space of free speech (not to be confused with spreading of misinformation and hate) and the information as accessible as possible. The modern internet however is driven by corporate interest and by a philosophy that is focused on optical appeal instead of accessibility and interoperability. By far most of the time information is obstructed by fancy looking functionalities. It is kind of the proprietarization of the public data. However, as I agree with the free and open software principles by heart and also I am obsessed the interoperability of command line tools, I dream of a calmer more pragmatic internet.
